SMModeling, Inc. is a Canadian company located in Edmonton, Alberta.

We provide consulting services of our experts to help design multiple viable solutions to problems of interest using our high throughput computational chemistry and biology software packages.

SMModeling’s Proprietary Multiscale Modeling Software works simultaneously on many scales of liquid systems – different levels of the organism functioning. Our applications range from energy systems to drug discovery. The SMModeling software package is a versatile, high-performance computing platform based on years of research done in the group of Dr. Andriy Kovalenko.

It is highly parallel and portable.

He earned his PhD degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. His experience includes 20 years as a Senior Research Officer at the National Institute for Nanotechnology and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biological Science at the University of Alberta. Dr. Kovalenko has been developing methodology and software implementation of the statistical-mechanical,  molecular theory of solvation, coupling it with electronic, structure theories, molecular simulations, and docking protocols in a platform of predictive multiscale theory & modeling of chemical, supramolecular, and biomolecular systems constituting new advances towards a general framework of multiscale methods.
